This ceremony is traditionally for women, however men are welcome This ceremony ainvolves walking in a circle with a piece of cloth, veil, or handkerchief draped over your face/head. This allows the grief to flow without the fear of being seen. However, we encourage being heard. This tradition encourages open weeping, crying, and wailing as an excercise to release grief, pain, fear, and trauma. The circle will continue to move until there is no more sound. Once the wailing ceremony has concluded you have time to sit and process with the group openly, or not at all.
We reocommend this ceremony for people that have held grief, trauma, or pain within and need a safe, sacred space to release it.
